Larkspur Landing |
|
|
| |
You can take
a ferry from San Francisco and be within
walking distance of Larkspur Landing.
The Landing is a rambling outdoor
shopping, dining and entertainment center
consisting of wooden buildings, fountains and bay
views. |
 |
|
Unique gifts, art, fashions,
jewelry, restaurants, movies and an array of services
are all clustered here, more than fifty places in all.
Larkspur's only hotel, The Courtyard by
Marriott, stands on the hillside above. With its
fabulous hill and bay views, it's only a short walk to
all the nearby stores and the Ferry Terminal.
An
old western-style street of stores filled with antiques
is just between the Ferry Terminal and Highway 101. Down
the road is the famous Remillard's brickyard which now
houses a restaurant.
You can dine in a romantic
brick kiln built in 1889. Remillard's brickyard was
declared a State Historical Landmark and is listed in
the National Register.
